As all of us in Dallas, Fort Worth and North Texas go through Snowstorm Uri, one of the worst snowstorms ever in Texas, the importance of continuity and quality of in-home care for you and your loved ones really surfaces. At Care Mountain, the last 72 hours have been both very difficult and very rewarding – our team has been hard at work coordinating care to help clients and support our caregivers to keep the quality and continuity of in home care intact – in spite of the difficult and bitter cold, frequent power failures and barely drivable icy roads all around us. Many of our Caregivers have stayed provided round the clock, 24 hour care to Clients, many of whom were caught with similar circumstances of no power, no heat, no water, frozen and burst pipes – they came through at a time when when it really matters, thus ensuring the quality and continuity of care, the one thing that Families rely on us for.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]To share one such example – Mary, one of our high quality and highly experienced caregivers had just finished a full 12 hour shift with one of clients yesterday. In spite of this, when the need arose, Mary came to the rescue of another client, a 92 year old couple: Given the power outages, the hospital bed that our client was in couldn’t be set upright easily without electricity – our client’s 90 year old wife could not operate the bed manually to help her husband up, get him cleaned and fed – Mary drove for hours in the snow to help ensure that our got the support he needed – what seems like a small and daily activity of life become paramount under the difficult and extenuating circumstances of the last few days.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]At Care Mountain, over the last 72 hours, we have many such examples where our high quality and experienced caregivers have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help clients. The best part of our day has been to hear the calls of gratitude coming in from clients and their families thanking our Caregivers and blessing them for what they do when it really mattered – a true reflection for the high standards of caregiving we at Care Mountain are known for, and this being a calling in life for our highly capable caregivers.
Superheroes or Caregivers? Superheroes, I say![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id=”blog-cat-blog”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
