About Our Dementia Care Experience
Home Health Care For Alzheimer’s Disease
Most of our 29+ years of experience with dementia care has been providing home health care help at home for someone with Alzheimer’s disease. Since 1986, when our Director/Owner helped start up one of the first modern day Alzheimer’s care facility/programs in the United States, he has had a very special place in his heart for providing in home care for Alzheimer’s disease.
Our success and Alzheimer’s Association awards for providing outstanding caregivers in home for someone with Alzheimer’s disease can be attributed to Care Mountain’s unique Alzheimer’s caregiver staff selection, placement and continuous care management process. This has resulted in one of the highest home health care agency success rates caring for someone at home with Alzheimer’s disease, and a caregiver staff turnover rate significantly lower than our industry average.
Care Mountain has never had a single State complaint regarding it’s Alzheimer’s home health care, has never had a family dismiss it from a case due to dissatisfaction with it’s care of a Love One with Alzheimer’s disease, and always BBB A+ rated. Few local home health care agencies in business 12+ years working extensively with Alzheimer’s home health care can claim all this!
Home Health Care For Vascular Disease Related Dementia
Home health care for vascular related dementia is the second most common type of dementia care giving we have done over the years. Vascular related dementia has many important distinctions from Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia’s, so we place caregivers uniquely trained and experienced with this. Since vascular dementia is often accompanied by post stroke physiological related deficits, we have found it helpful to place caregivers that can also assist with physical and occupational therapy. This has played a key role in regaining independence.
Home Health Care For Mixed Dementia
Home health care for mixed dementia involves care giving for abnormalities linked to more than one type of dementia occurring simultaneously in the brain. Our care giving for mixed dementia has increased significantly over the years. Since we are working with multiple dementia’s, we ensure these caregivers are trained and experienced with all involved dementia’s. Families have reported we have been an exceptionally helpful source of support in coping with the complexities of this type of dementia.
Home Health Care For Dementia With Lewy Bodies (LBD or Lewy Body Dementia)
We have helped many DFW families with care at home for a loved one with Lewy Body Dementia. Many of them also had Parkinson’s disease.
Home Health Care For Parkinson’s Related Dementia
Providing home health care for Parkinson’s related dementia is tied with mixed dementia as the third most common type of dementia we have successfully provided home care for to families in the Dallas – Fort Worth Metroplex.
Home Health Care For Frontotemporal Dementia
Frontotemporal dementia is the least common type of dementia that we have worked with, but those families that we have helped have given us great testimonials – see our Testimonial page.
